Meet Ananya

This event was a day-long program intended to expose young girls to STEM concepts and empower them to pursue or help facilitate interest in male-dominated fields. I was tasked with helping set up FLOUR’s room, and staying for the entirety of the event to help instruct the attendees in an arts and crafts project related to construction and architecture whilst they watched a slideshow explaining the company’s work. I also helped clean up and pack afterwards.

I volunteered for a coding club that taught basic block-based programming to elementary school children. I helped prepare the children for a district level coding competition by giving ideas, assisting in debugging, and beta testing their programs. This program lasted about 3 months and took place every week on Thursdays.
